PTFE Hose
With a full line of PTFE Hose products including extruded,
convoluted, high pressure and specialty items, Specialty Hose stocks
and fabricates more types of PTFE Hose products than any other hose
company.
A PTFE hose assembly is comprised of a braided material covering a
flexible PTFE tube with a fitting affixed to either end.
PTFE Hose Advantages
•
PTFE Hose is Temperature Resistant. It works well for everything from high ambient, fluid or gas temperatures (+450°F) to
cryogenic applications (-65°F).
•
PTFE Hose is Chemical Resistant. It is inert to most commercial chemicals, acids, alcohols, coolants, elastomers, petroleum
compounds, solvents, vinyls, synthetic lubricants, and hydraulic fluids. Please contact us for further information on chemical
resistance guidelines.
•
PTFE Hose is Flexible. It can withstand continuous flexing, vibration, or impulse without failure from flex fatigue.
•
PTFE Hose is Moisture resistant. It absorbs no moisture hot or cold. It is easy to clean and sterilize.
•
PTFE Hose is Non-Contaminating. Conveyed materials, fluids, or gases will not contaminate in service.
•
PTFE Hose has High Flow Rates. Its low coefficient of friction with anti-stick properties insures continuous lower pressure
drop during service with good pressure rating.
•
PTFE Hose is Non-Aging. It resists deterioration. It has an unlimited shelf life because properties do not change with age or
exposure to weather.
